Voltchkov and Stoliarov have got Wild Cards.

Today the names of all the three owners of Wild Cards are known and the qualifying has started.

Remember that Michail Yelgin from Saint-Petersburg was the first who became an owner of the Wild Card. The remaining two Cards are given to Andrei Stoliarov from Sochi and Vladimir Voltchkov from Belarus. They both participated in St.-Petersburg Open in 2000 and 2001 and Voltchkov is a semifinalist of Uimbldone-2000, and two years ago he advanced to quarterfinal in Saint-Petersburg. Today a fight for four places in the Main Draw in qualifying has started. 14 Russians at ones participated: Andrei Cherkasov, Dmitri Sitak, Sergei Krotiouk, Denis Golovanov, Pavel Ivanov, Kirill Ivanov-Smolensky, Igor Andreev, Evgeni Smirnov, Dmitri Vlasov, Vadim Davletshin, Vladimir Melnikov, Taimuraz Gabashvili, Ivan Syrov and Nikolai Mishin as son of the famous trainer in figure skating Aleksei Mishin.
